ABOUT US

Selkirk Wanderfox was started by friends Mitch and Jason, two Northwest truck owners who have spent four decades behind the wheel of a truck. Between them there are countless thousands of miles behind the wheel in the backcountry, spread out over decades of work, travel, and time spent outdoors across the Northwest.

Those miles weren’t just highway driving either. They were spent on backcountry roads that span nine western states and British Columbia, places only a truck can really get you to and leaving some mountain pinstriping on their rigs along the way.

Along the way they’ve run just about every kind of truck canopy you can think of. Old Roamin’ Chariots, Gem Tops, and plenty of the fiberglass combos that we see on trucks today.

Selkirk Wanderfox is a Northwest dealer for Wanderfox Overland canopies, offering aluminum truck toppers and pickup canopies designed to keep gear dry, secure, and protected from the weather. These canopies are built using 3D scans of specific truck models, allowing each canopy/topper to fit properly on trucks like the Ford F-250, Toyota Tundra, and many other pickups, without the loose fit that sometimes comes with generic caps.

They’re also built with practical features that matter when you’re out in real conditions. The locking latches are designed to resist freezing, which is a small detail until you’re dealing with ice on a cold morning. The latches are also adjustable over time, helping the canopy stay tight and secure even after years of use.

Selkirk Wanderfox serves the kinds of people who rely on their trucks to get somewhere worth going—overlanders, hunters, fly fishermen, backcountry travelers, surveyors, and outdoorsmen throughout the Northwest.

Jason runs a 2012 Ford F-250, while Mitch drives a Toyota Tundra, and like most truck owners they’ve spent plenty of time figuring out what gear works and what doesn’t.

And while the industry might have new terms for them these days—truck toppers, truck caps, or overland shells—Mitch and Jason are still old enough to just call them canopies.
